Marie (Mauri) Collins is the Instructional Designer/Faculty Development Specialist for the Center for Distance Education, School for New Learning, DePaul University, Loop Campus, Chicago. Her work includes the design and implementation of faculty and course development processes, oversight of course materials authoring and preparation, and using technology training and course conversion as a lever for pedagogical change. In June 2003 she was the invited Visiting Scholar at The Center for Teaching and Learning, Southern Cross University, New South Wales, Australia.

Dr. Collins received her doctorate from The Pennsylvania State University in Adult Education in August 2003. She has served as the moderator of the DEOS discussion list for seven of its 12 years.
