Heidi Capetola graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1992. She also obtained her Master's in Elementary Counseling from West Chester University in 1999 and principal certification at Penn State Great Valley. In 2012, she obtained an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University. She is affiliated with Phi Delta Kappa, a Life Member of the Penn State Alumni Association, and has been involved with the Alumni Society Board of Directors as a secretary and president-elect. In 1997, she was awarded the Outstanding New Graduate Award by the Penn State College of Education Alumni Society. She was also listed in the 2002 edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers. She previously was a teacher in the School District of Philadelphia and Secondary Supervisor of Teaching and Learning in the Great Valley School District.
