Current Projects/Activities

Jerry Trusty is currently working with several school districts in Pennsylvania to help them transform their school counseling programs to comprehensive ones. This is the Pennsylvania Transforming School Counseling Initiative (PTSCI).  This work is connected to the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Project 720, the National Center for Transforming School Counseling (a division of the Education Trust), and Pennsylvania School Counselors Association.

Jerry, along with Kevin Wilkerson from University of Scranton, is doing training with several school districts in the Harrisburg, PA area. He is also evaluating the PTSCI project.

Jerry serves on the Advisory Board of PTSCI. He also serves on the “PA School Counselor Guidelines Committee.” This group is revising the school counselor certification standards for Pennsylvania.

Jerry Trusty is currently writing a research text. This will be a master's-level book on research for counselors and other helping professionals. It will be published by Lahaska Press.
