Search Text – If you are not sure which category a particular program or subject might be, you can search by topic. Use the search text box to type in the name of a program, topic, or profession that is not listed in the pull-down menus
Type of Program – Learning opportunities come in many different forms. Use this search criteria if you would like to find a particular form of education such as on-line learning or certificate programs.
Profession – Broad categories of professions within education, including those professions outside of Pre-K through 12 are listed here. Use this search criteria if you are seeking a particular profession such as trainer, school counselor, or other type of educator.
Specialty Area – Within the field of education, there are many areas of specialization. Use this search criteria to locate programs specific to your specialty, such as art, music, health, among others.
Location – Penn State University has 23 campus and college locations. Use this search criteria to find programs that are near to you.
Optimizing Your Search
You can conduct a broad search by selecting one or two categories (for example, profession and location or profession and specialty). Or, you can focus your search by selecting three or more criteria. If the focused research yields few or no results, broaden your search by eliminating one of the search criteria and try again.
