STEM Education: Penn State is making University-wide efforts to strengthen Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education, at both the K-12 and the postsecondary levels.

DIVERSITY SKITS TO HEIGHTEN AWARENESS

Local theater group "Next Stages" will enact various working and learning situations in the College via skits, with a focus on social climate, for faculty and staff, sponsored by the Diversity and Community Enhancement Committee.

RACKLEY RENOVATIONS LARGELY COMPLETE

New classrooms, program work space, faculty office and entrances highlight the final phases of the Rackley Building renovation project.

BRITISH HEAD TEACHERS INSTITUTE

The new collaborative international outreach initiative brings British teachers into local school districts and seek new insights into professional development and school improvement with Penn State faculty.

PDS WINS ZIMPHER AWARD AS NATION'S TOP COLLABORATION

The Professional Development School (PDS) partnership between the College of Education and the State College Area School District has won its second national award.

TRIPONEY HIGHLIGHTS FEMALE LEADERSHIP

New Penn State Student Affairs chief Vicky Triponey highlighted female leadership in higher education at a HESA Brown Bag seminar.

ROSE WILL ENCOURAGE TAKING CONTROL OF TECHNOLOGY IN OUR LIVES

Ellen Rose will discuss ways of controlling technology use in your life at a lecture on Feb. 19, sponsored by the American Center for the Study of Distance Education.

PROFESSOR SOTO VISITS ALUMNI IN TAIWAN

Lourdes Soto travels to Taiwan to attend a conference and meet with Bilingual Education alumni.
