PROPER INTERVENTIONS NECESSARY FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS IN INCLUSION CLASSROOMS

While inclusion has advantages and disadvantages, teachers who are able to use the most effective interventions will be able to help special education students achieve their potential.

DEPRESSION IN TEEN GIRLS COMMON AND TREATABLE

Associate professor Richard Hazler's research has shown that, while teen girls suffer from depression at a greater rate then their male peers, proper methods of treatment are available.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN KINDERGARTEN CLASSROOMS SHOWS SOME BENEFITS

In a classroom-based analysis of kindergarten students whose parents attended classes, children performed better at word acquisition, though not at identifying letters and symbols.

RACIAL GAPS IN STANDARDIZED TEST SCORES IMPROVED BUT STILL VERY EVIDENT

While the U.S. has closed part of the racial gap in standardized test scores, professor George Farkas says much work remains before the gap closes entirely.
