SHIFT TO FAMILY EFFECTS ON MATH & SCIENCE ACHIEVEMENT

Penn State research has discovered that the Heyneman-Loxley Effect, which relates the effects of individual schools to a student's achievement, has largely vanished in the last three decades. Now, family effects are dominant.
