Herbert S. Cohen '59 B.S. ED (Psychology) Dr. Cohen's book Snap Out of It has recently been made into an E Book. The book deals with three powerful, well established behavioral techniques for dealing with stress, anxiety, weight-related issues, and bad habits. Janice R. Stephenson '58 B.S. EL ED This is about my sister, Lois Krug Nichols, class of 1963. Lois died in Sept. of 2005. She had taught for many years in the Upper Merion Area School District. Charlotte A. Voight '57 B.S. EL ED In 1996, I retired from McKeown Elementary School in Hampton Twp., NJ near Newton or Sparta, whichever you know better. I was selected Teacher of the Year in 1987. I won a contest sponsored by the Educator's Association, for one of the 100 Best Social Studies programs in the nation. Meanwhile, I have four children who are Penn State grads. One was a wrestler, one was in the PS Blue Band, another was on the committee to fund the new Ag Arena. I am a life long PSAA member.My first volunteer efforts began in the late 80's , as a Volunteer Alumni Admissions Chairperson in Northwestern New Jersey. Just retired from the Centre Co PSAA. I'm a former member of the College of Education Board of Directors, Committee Chairman of the ASTN and Lead Volunteer of the ASTN: Centre Region,and also former secretary. I volunteer on the Men's Gymnastic's Board and support football, basketball, wrestling , baseball and ice hockey. A few years ago, I participated in a project with Senior Citizens and Students in a program to improve Reading Comprehension. I am thrilled that I moved here. There are so many activities, volunteer events, musical events,theatre, and public letures that one can attend. Since my husband has passed on, I spend a lot of time encouraging my grandchildren (10) that range in age from 2-22, in their endeavors.
