Tonnie is the superintendent of the Moshannon Valley Junior-Senior High School in Houtzdale, Pa. Previously, she was the assistant principal in the Mount Union Area School District, where she was also the director of Special Education/Student Services. She was the 2007 recipient of the Huntindon County Chamber of Commerce Educator of the Year award, which is sponsored by Juniata College. She has developed and delivered numerous presentations dealing with such topics as mandated reporting, confidentiality, student enrollment, autism, behavior management, positive behavior support, conflict resolution, inclusion, and special education. Tonnie is a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association.
