Joan Kay Ruth is a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association. She is a member of the Nittany Lion Club, the Penn State Club of Greater Harrisburg, the PA Federation of Womens Clubs, the Phi Mu National Sorority (Life), the PA State Education Association, and the National Education Association. She has been elected to the Alumni Society Board many times, serving since 1989. She has held the position of secretary. Joan is also a former teacher in the York Central School District.
