Penn State offers many opportunities for professional development including certificates and degrees, Saturday seminars, online seminars or courses, on-campus summer and evening courses, and Web sites. Many of these courses are approved for Act 48 credit.

Academic Leadership Academy
The Academic Leadership Academy provides practical administrative knowledge and skills to academic administrators, including department heads, program directors, academic deans, vice presidents, and provosts. Many of these administrators are faced with difficult internal and external challenges. These challenges can prevent administrators from performing their duties effectively.
