Kathy Silver is Staff Assistant to the Department Head and supervisor for the support staff. She is also responsible for faculty, staff, and graduate assistant appointments, Promotion and Tenure, support staff hiring and faculty searches. Kathy grew up in State College and has worked in higher education for most of her working life both at Penn State and the University of Pittsburgh. She lived in Oregon for ten years where she worked in construction administration before returning to State College in 2006. She has one married son and a granddaughter.
