Assistant Professor of Education

Youb Kim specializes in English as a Second Language (ESL) language and literacy instruction and assessment for teacher education. She conducts design experiments on ESL learning and teaching to generate knowledge usable for ameliorating educational disparities in U.S. schools. She serves on International Reading Association’s Helen M. Robinson Grant Committee and an editorial review board member for the Reading and Writing Quarterly. In the past, She served as a co-managing editor for the National Reading Conference Yearbook, and a member of Urban Diversity Initiatives Commission and Studies and Research Committee of the International Reading Association.
