General Requirements for All Programs

All option areas have specific requirements regarding the number of credits required and the amount of time to complete the option. Full-time graduate students will average 12 to 15 credits in each of the University's two 16 week semesters per year.

Transfer of Credits

A maximum of 10 (appropriate) credits earned at another accredited graduate school or 15 credits through continuing education and/or non-degree work at Penn State may be transferred into a Penn State degree graduate program. Credits earned in these ways may be used only if they meet program requirements and are approved by the Penn State faculty adviser as well as by the Graduate School.BartlebaughSupervisionb.jpg
