Desktop Security

Pro-active security should be a goal of all users and it is our goal of the Education Technology Center to make that possible for you.

Security isn't always the first thing on people's minds when they sit down in front of a computer, but it's an essential and necessary part of using information technology in today's world.

As users in this information age, we need to be proactive in securing our computers and data against malicious hackers, viruses, and electronic dangers. Fortunately, there are ways that we can protect our data and our computers against such attacks. These methods start with the creation of a secure password, ensuring our antivirus is up to date, as well as a few other methods that we will be discussing.

Proactive security should be a goal of all users and it is our goal of the Carrara Education Technology Center to make that possible for you.

A Desktop Security Checklist is provided for you to assist you in this process. Key points to remember and instructions are provided.
