Note: We realize that these course titles may be a bit confusing. However, due to certification changes in Pennsylvania, this course will be offered as CI 495B for those pursuing the K-6 certificate for the final time in Fall 2012. Beginning in Spring 2013, this course will be offered as CI 495A for Prek-4 majors.
Course Description
CI 495 B ( fall 2012) ( 495A after Spring 2013) (sometimes referred to as pre-student teaching) is a three-credit, non-graded course usually taken the semester prior to student teaching. Students are in elementary classrooms every Tuesday and Thursday, beginning the sixth week of the semester. Students have the opportunity to plan and teach lessons to elementary-aged children.

Locations
Students will be placed in classrooms within 70 miles of the University Park Campus. Transportation is the students' responsibility.
