The current economic climate suggests that the idea of changing careers may become increasingly commonplace, as jobs have become less secure and predictable. Otto, Dette-Hagenmeyer, and Dalbert discuss the findings of a study examining individual willingness to change occupations in a recent Journal of Career Development article. The findings suggest that personality and work-related attitudes have a significant bearing on an individual's willingness to change careers.
