The number of immigrant and refugee workers in the United States is expected to continue its dramatic increase, and career counselors need to be informed of the unique challenges that this segment of the population faces in obtaining employment. Yakushko, Backhaus, Watson, Ngaruiya, and Gonzalez discuss the utilization of social cognitive career theory in working to provide guidance given the unique concerns of these groups in a recent Journal of Career Development article.
