The College of Education Diversity and Community Enhancement Committee (DCEC) seeks to fund proposals from students, faculty, and staff that support the goals of diversity and community enhancement for the College of Education at Penn State University.   Examples of such proposals might include speakers, seminars and professional development opportunities.  Events or programs seeking funding from the DCEC must meet the following criteria:

* Free and be open to the public
* Support the mission of the DCEC
* Initiated to provide primary benefit to College of Education students, staff
    and/or faculty.

image_4.jpgApplications are accepted on a continuous basis beginning each fall and will be considered at the next DCEC meeting. The DCEC will fund approved proposals up to a maximum of $500. However, depending upon the number of requests received and the available funds, awards may be smaller.  Those seeking funding from the DCEC must fill out the application form, answering the questions in a manner that will make it clear that the request meets the criteria listed above; applicants will then be notified by email of the status of their request.

By accepting DCEC assistance you agree that the event will be open to the public. You also agree to acknowledge the support of the College of Education Diversity and Community Enhancement Committee on posters, pamphlets, or other materials used to advertise the event.  A summary report should be forwarded to the DCEC Leadership Team within thirty days of the event’s completion. Thank you for your interest in promoting diversity and community enhancement in the College of Education and Penn State University.
