EDUCATE Implementation

EDUCATE will be implemented in methods courses and field experiences taken by EKED/ECE and SECED ENGL majors using a sequential model beginning in Fall 2008. More specifically, EKED/ECE majors taking the Arts & Literacy Block (LLED 400, 401 and 402, MUSIC 241, ARTED 303) in Fall 2008 and thereafter must come to class with a notebook computer that at a minimum meets the notebook requirement. The Disciplined Inquiry Block (MTHED 420, SCIED 458, SSED 430W, CI 495B) is the next collection of courses in the sequence taken by EKED/ECE majors. The requirements for a notebook computer will be fully integrated into this block beginning in Spring 2009. Student teaching experiences for both EKED/ECE and SECED ENGL majors will fully implement the technology requirement beginning in Fall 2009.
 
SECED ENGL majors taking the LLED 411/420/480 Block must come to class with a notebook computer that meets or exceeds the requirement beginning in Fall 2008 and thereafter. The LLED 412 and CI 495C experiences, which are next in the sequence for SECED ENGL, will fully integrate the technology requirement beginning in Spring 2009.
