Responsibilities:
The position will serve the primary role of assisting faculty in the College of Education with preparing grant proposals submitted in response to federal funding initiatives of the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), National Institute of Health (NIH), and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Additional roles include consultation in preparing internal proposals that can support pilot studies for future federal or state grant proposal submissions
Required qualifications:
- Earned doctorate in the social sciences with emphasis in quantitative research methods and a knowledge of qualitative research method applications.
- Demonstrated capabilities in experimental and quasi-experimental design, random clinical trials and power analysis;
- Demonstrated capabilities in psychometric analysis;
- Evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, commensurate with experience.
Desirable qualifications:
Knowledge of theoretical frameworks for education and related fields; knowledge of alternative methods to group-based, experimental design including but not limited to case study design, design experiments, single-subject experiments, regression discontinuity designs, and use of advanced technologies in quantitative methodology (e.g., eye-tracking, fMRI). Evidence of assistance in writing successful grant proposals and working collaboratively with research teams is helpful.

The College of Education
