CECPRS Diversity Enhancement Committee

Counselor Education, Counseling Psychology, and Rehabilitation Services Department Diversity Committee

The Diversity Enhancement Committee is a group of Department students, faculty, and staff who seek ways to enhance knowledge, understanding, and application of diversity related issues in the Department, College, University, and society. Individual committee members begin by exploring their own diversity related narratives, beliefs, and experiences in the context of other members in order to build a Committee-wide base for dealing with these issues within the Committee.

The Diversity Enhancement Committee

The Diversity Enhancement Committee is a group of Department students, faculty, and staff who seek ways to enhance knowledge, understanding, and application of diversity related issues in the Department, College, University, and society. Individual committee members begin by exploring their own diversity related narratives, beliefs, and experiences in the context of other members in order to build a Committee-wide base for dealing with these issues within the Committee.

Each fall, the Committee requests self-nominations for membership from Department students, faculty, and staff though membership is not required to attend any of the Committee meetings. We offer a safe, informal place in the Department where people can come to talk or just listen as the group discusses diversity issues that affect us all in a honest and open forum.
