Welcome to our site. Penn State Counselor Education Programs have:
Over 50 years of excellence (1958);

National recognition including consistent top 10 national rankings in US News & World Report;
Emphasis on integrating counseling applications, high levels of scholarship, service commitment, and multiculturalism;
Ph.D. in Counselor Education, Master's in Elementary School Counseling and Master's in Secondary School Counseling emphases are all accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP);
Master's Rehabilitation Counseling emphasis accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) and funding for one semester of tuition and stipend available to eligible students;
NEW Master's in Career Counseling emphasis;
NEW Master's in Mental Health Counseling in Schools and Communities emphasis;
Faculty who have received national and international recognition for their research and scholarship;
High job placement rate of graduates throughout the country and abroad in counseling, faculty, and related professional positions; and
