Research Interests
The investigation of career development theory and vocational rehabilitation on the economic, mental, physical and public health outcomes of individuals with chronic illness and HIV/AIDS. Disability studies and the psychosocial aspects of disability including the examination of cultural views of disability on case conceptualization, intervention and disability affirmative multicultural counseling. The integration of the recovery model in mental health and psychiatric rehabilitation counseling services. Developing counselors’ advocacy skills related to advancing the counseling profession and increasing access to services central to economic advancement and well-being of people living with mental and other chronic illnesses and/or disability.
