Rehabilitation and Human Services (RHS)
The Mission: to train students to become human services professionals providing rehabilitation and related services to people with disabilities.
The Major: prepares students for entry-level positions in a variety of human service settings, especially those serving people with physical, psychiatric, and cognitive disabilities. Students enter employment in rehabilitation centers, drug and alcohol programs, senior citizen centers, community mental health and mental retardation programs, corrections systems, and hospitals.
The Faculty: are commited to quality teaching, research, and service, and offer courses that take an interdisciplinary approach to working with people in a variety of social services. In addition to courses specific to rehabilitation, the major provides flexibility in selecting electives, which allows students to explore a variety of areas within the field of human services.
