Doctoral Degree Admission Requirements
Candidates must submit electronic copies of the documents listed below along with the Graduate School admission application. Prospective students should complete all application procedures during the semester prior to the one in which they wish to enroll.
Doctoral
- Graduate School Application
- Nonrefundable $65 electronic application fee
- Three letters of recommendation
- Personal Statement of goals
- Vita or resume
- Doctoral applicants must submit Miller Analogies Test (MAT) score or GRE scores (preferred)
- Provide a writing sample of a critique of an education article or a recent paper
- International students must supply an official passing TOFEL score report of 80 and above with 20 or above on all sections. The ELTS exam may also be submitted with a passing score of 6.5 and above.
Certification

Two (2) official transcripts from each institution you have attended. A link to a "Transcript Request Form" is provided to assist you with obtaining official transcripts. This for is not a required part of the application packet; rather, it is provided to assist you with requesting transcripts from your institution. Official transcripts should be submitted in a sealed envelope directly to the College Student Affairs program prior to the December deadline.
All applicants from non-English speaking countries must present a passing TOEFL score unless they have obtained a degree from a university in the U.S. or another English speaking country.
