Adding Images to Your Site
Where do you get images?
- The College has a gallery of stock images taken at College of Education events and in classrooms. You are welcome to review this gallery of images and select images for use on your site. The images are available on the College Flickr site.
- You can also use any images that you have.
- If you would like to schedule a photo shoot at a class or event within your program, please contact Suzanne Wayne at suzwayne@psu.edu.

Processing Images
Images are processed by a graphic designer and stored in an image folder in your respective site. Once they are on your site, you can import the image from the image folder into the pages you need.
To process images:
- Send an e-mail to Derek Annan at dka115@psu.edu. In this e-mail, include
- the image as an attachment OR
- The URL (web address) where the image is located on the College Gallery, the College flickr site, or elsewhere on the Web (You must have permission to use an image from another place on the Web.)
- A caption for the image (if necessary)
- the URL (Web address) for the folder on your site where you want to house the image.
- A text title of the image that will be used as the alternative description of the image for accessibility purposes
- If an image folder does not exist, then create one, exclude it from the navigation, and submit it.
- Suzanne or the graphic designer will let you know when the image has been added.
