Policy
The goal of policy serves:
To provide leadership in family literacy through communication and collaborative action with professional organizations, state and federal agencies, policymakers, family literacy educators, and the general public, resulting in a National Board of Advisors.
To develop policy briefs and other policy resources that provide a research perspective on family literacy and participant outcomes, supporting advocacy efforts on behalf of program providers and the families they serve. Actions focus on dissemination of information and are conducted in cooperation with the:
National Center for Family Literacy,
Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy,
National Coalition for Literacy, and the
National Council of State Directors of Adult Education.
