Perspectives on the History of Higher Education is the sole scholarly journal in the United States devoted to the history of higher education. Established at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1981, it has been published at The Pennsylvania State University since 1993. Perspectives publishes articles based on original research and scholarship, review essays and historiographical essays on significant themes, and abstracts of recent doctoral dissertations in the history of higher education.
