Krause Innovation Studio
Teaching First, Technology Second
Real innovation in education must begin by returning to the questions that teachers have asked themselves for generations: What do I want my students to learn, and how can I help them to learn it?

The Krause Innovation Studio @ The Pennsylvania State University's College of Education is a resource for faculty and teachers at the postsecondary level, secondary and elementary school level, and also educators working in informal learning settings such as museums and the work place. Starting with teaching practice and drawing upon the power of emerging technologies to transform teaching and learning, the Krause Innovation Studio is an incubator for innovative technology-supported pedagogy that allows educators in a variety of contexts to address the needs of an increasingly diverse and geographically dispersed student population.
The Krause Innovation Studio focuses on developing pedagogies that rethink teaching and learning by drawing on emerging technologies to support change. However, we don't use technology for technology's sake. We begin with the goals for the kinds of interactions and activities students should engage in and then find the best tools to help educators reach those goals. If you have a project and/or idea that you would like to collaborate with us on, please schedule an appointment.
