Pennsylvania Future Educators Association
Information on the coordination of state wide activities for Future Educators Association clubs and organizations in high schools and middle schools across the state of Pennsylvania.
Mission
- To provide assistance to schools in starting and maintaining chapters of Future Educators Association (FEA), pre-collegiate and collegiate teacher recruitment programs.
- Support the mission of International FEA.
- Work with chapter advisors and officers to recruit members and looks for opportunities to partner to plan activities with other K-12 and University chapters.
- Motivate students who are interested in careers in education to pursue their interest by setting educational and career goals, promoting academic achievement and exploring the field of education through enriching classroom and school wide projects along with service to the community.
Goals
- Increase the number of chartered FEA chapters in the state of Pennsylvania
- Plan and coordinate a statewide conference of FEA chapters designed to promote the field, encourage chapter growth, explore new and developing issues within the field of education and provide the opportunity for chapters to network across regional groups.
- Promote programs of study within the Colleges of Education
- Address teacher shortages and encourage "Grow Your Own" programming through FEA chapter and academies.
- Emphasize career options in high need areas such as math and science education.
- Encourage participation and increase viability amongst traditionally under represented students to consider the field of education.
- Provide collaborative learning opportunities for intermediate, high school and collegiate level future educators.
