Maria is from Puerto Rico and since her arrival to State College has worked as an advisor in different offices at Penn State like the Office of Financial Aid, and the Multicultural Resource Center.


Charleon Jeffries

Program Assistant

Charleon is originally from Washington D.C. and came to State College in the Fall of 1996 as a student in the Smeal College of Business. She joined the office in April 2002 and is willing to help students in any way she can. She is currently working with a group of undergraduate students to found the Multicultural Education Student Association (MESA), and serves on the College of Education's Diversity and Climate Enhancement Committee.
