by Joe Savrock (December 2009)

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – A large contingent of faculty members and graduate students from Penn State’s Higher Education program participated recently at a prominent conference in Canada. The group attended the 34 Annual Conference of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), held Nov. 3–6 in Vancouver.

“This is one of the premier conferences for experts in the field and we had a great showing of faculty and students,” said Lisa R. Lattuca, associate professor and senior research associate in Penn State’s Center for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE).

Among the faculty members representing Penn State’s Higher Education program were CSHE Director Donald Heller, Dorothy Evenson, Kimberly Griffin, John Cheslock, Liang Zhang, and Visiting Professor Leticia Oseguera.

Graduate students from the Penn State program were Meghan Pifer, Jordan Humphrey, Dan Merson, Nathan Sorber, Peter Moran, Wil Del Pilar, and David Perez II.

Participants from other Penn State units included Janet Schulenberg, Marie Lindhorst, Carla Pratt, and Tara Williams.
