Rural Bedford Seminar offers students a glimpse of ‘rural life’

The Penn State College of Education is presenting students with a unique opportunity to experience learning in a rural setting. The three-credit course, CI 295C: The Rural Bedford Seminar, spans two weeks from May 5-17.

Penn State to Host Legal Conference on School Law

Penn State is hosting the Pennsylvania School Study Council's (PSSC) School Law Day, a legal conference on school law featuring experts from both the public and private sector.

Penn State Offers Scholarships for Special Education Master’s Degree and Certification

The Penn State College of Education is offering scholarships to support graduate-level study in special education with an emphasis on infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who have disabilities and their families.

College of Education Renews National Accreditation

Penn State’s College of Education recently completed a successful review by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

New Center for Evaluation and Education Policy Analysis Established

The Penn State College of Education has created a new Center for Evaluation and Education Policy Analysis (CEEPA). Ed Fuller, an associate professor in the Department of Education Policy Studies, will serve as the director.

The Penn State College of Education serves approximately 2,800 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students each year. The College prepares administrators, counselors, psychologists and researchers, as well as P-12 teachers in 21 different specialty areas. U.S. News & World Report ranks ten of the College's graduate programs in the top 20 of their respective program rankings, with six programs in the top 10. The College is known nationally for its education research and outreach, housing such centers as the Center for the Study of Higher Education, the Center for Science and the Schools, and the Mid-Atlantic Center for Mathematics Teaching and Learning.
