Two Mentors Win Teacher as Researcher Award

Teachers as Researchers Award


Two PDS Mentor Teachers recently were awarded the 2001 Teacher as Researcher Award from the Northeastern Educational Association (NERA). Diane Reed a fourth grade teacher and Amy Jones a third grade teacher both at Radio Park Elementary School received their award from their teacher inquiry project titled, "Columbus Revisited." The two teachers were assisted by Penn State faculty members Dr. Frances Rains, Dr. Nancy Dana, and Dr. Jim Nolan as well as curriculum support teacher, Mindy Cocolin.
