2011-12 News and Awards

  • Dr. Bernard Badiali, the Director of our PDS Partnership, was named the Teacher Educator of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators in October 2011

  • Dr. Carla Zembal-Saul (CI Department Head) and Ms. Kimber Hershberger  (Intermediate grade teacher at Radio Park Elementary co-authored (along with Katherine McNeill) a science education textbook entitled, "What's Your Evidence: Engaging K-5 Children in Constructing Explanations in Science."
  • Dr. Rebecca Burns won the 2012 outstanding dissertation award from the American Educational Research Association Special Interest Group on Professional Development School Research. Dr. Burns will be headed to the Univeristy of South Florida next fall where she will continue to be engaged in school-university partnership work
