Outstanding Dissertation Award
Dr. Diane Silva, a former Professional Development Associate in the EKED PDS and Penn State graduate won the 2001 Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Association of Teacher Educators. Diane's award winning dissertation focused on mentoring in professional development school work. Her qualitative study, entitled "Mentor Teachers Ways of Being and Knowing, focused on the mentoring of two mentor teachers in the Professional Development school Collaborative. Dr. Silva is now in the process of building collaborative relationships in her faculty position at the University of Florida.
