Commendations

12.1 Provide copies of student Educational and Occupational Objectives for students enrolled in an approved vocational-technical program as updated annually.

Easton Area SD: The district should be complemented for its proactive approach to assisting students to complete the Educational and Occupational Objective. Identifying and utilizing instructors as career mentors, embedding career pathways and recommending appropriate courses (classes) within the student selection process, and using previous year forms as baseline data provides for a continuum of effort and support.

GJR: Because of the constant transition of students into and out of this facility, student Educational and Occupational Objective Forms are completed upon entrance to the CTE program and at the beginning of each semester.

Franklin: Student Educational and Occupational Objectives were on file and updated annually. The objective form is job specific and program related and also includes long-range goals for post-secondary or military pursuits. The forms are not only on file in the guidance office, but each instructor also maintains files to support instruction.
