WFED Courses for Students With Bachelor's Degrees

Information for students seeking Voc I or Voc II CTE certification who have already completed a Bachelor's degree.

WFED Courses for Students With Bachelor's Degrees

Teacher certification

Some students who have already earned a baccalaureate degree decide to add a teaching certificate to their credentials. If you are in this situation, you may choose between pursuing only the vocational instructional certificates or continuing to add a M.Ed. to your educational credentials. Requirements for teacher certification are the same for all students, regardless of degree status, with two exceptions. (1) Graduate students must do additional assignments in several courses to demonstrate that they are capable of graduate level rigor. (2) Some of their undergraduate work may be transferred to meet certificate requirements. If you have questions about transfer credit, have a transcript sent to Dr. Walter and arrange an appointment with him.

Co-Op Certificates

Vocational instructors may choose to add the Co-Operative Education certificate to their educational credentials. In this case, you may choose to complete only the requirements for the certificate alone or with a master’s degree. If you choose the master’s degree, apply to the WF ED graduate program and choose the School-to-Work option.

Vocational Supervisor and Vocational Director Certificates

Vocational instructors with B.S. degrees may choose to add the Vocational Supervisor or Vocational Director certificate to their educational credentials. These students may choose to complete only the requirements for the certificate alone or with a master’s degree. If you choose the master’s degree, apply to the WF ED graduate program and choose the Leadership option.

Masters Student’s Program of Study

Masters students should contact their advisors every semester to confirm that their course selection is appropriately making progress toward completion of the degree and, if applicable, the appropriate educational certificate.
