How to Register
How to Register for Certificate and Undergraduate Courses
After you decide what course(s) to take, you must register for the course(s) no later than one week after the first class meeting.
PLEASE NOTE: "Late registration” is accepted after the registration deadline, but it will cost you an extra $250.
The registration procedure you must follow depends on whether you were registered for classes last semester.
★ If you took a Penn State course during the previous Semester,
- You may register in one of the following ways:
- Preferred Method: Register on-line via e-Lion and click on “Students” in the left column. Follow the directions to register OR
- Register by phone. Contact Cheryl Stamm, 814-863-0804, crc10@psu.edu OR
- Register by fax. Complete and send the Registration Drop/Add form to the Workforce Education and Development Office at (814)-863-7532.
- Watch your Penn State e-mail account for a tuition bill.
★ If you did NOT take a Penn State course last Semester:
- You must enroll as an “undergraduate non-degree” student
- Go to the Undergraduate Non-Degree Form, complete the form, and
- Fax the form to the Registrar’s Office at the University Park campus, (814)863-1929, AND to Cheryl Stamm in WF ED at (814)863-7532.
- Activate your Penn State ACCESS Account at a Penn State Access Account Signature Station, and watch your e-mail for your tuition bill.
PLEASE NOTE: Your registration is not complete until your university bill is paid.
In other words, you will not get credit for the course if the bill is not paid, even if you do all of the course assignments successfully.
Registration and payment of tuition should be completed as directed with your e-lion account. Upon receipt of your semester bill, send payment directly to the Bursar’s Office, 103 Shields Building, University Park, PA 16802.
