Brief Biography
Judith A. Kolb is an Associate Professor of Education, Workforce Education and Development Program, Penn State University Park Campus. Dr. Kolb teaches in the Human Resource Development/Organization Development Emphasis. Her courses include Introduction to Human Resource Development, Facilitating Groups and Teams, Developing Training Programs, Platform Skills, and a series of Professional Seminars on Ethics in the Workplace. Dr. Kolb’s research focuses on the functioning of small groups and teams and, in particular, the role of facilitators and leaders; collaborative leadership; and factors that affect learning climate and transfer. She also is interested in issues related to ethics teaching and training.
She holds a B.S. in Business Education from the University of Missouri, a M.Ed. in Human Resource Development from Colorado State University, and a Ph. D. in Communication with a Small Group/Applied Organizational Communication focus from the University of Denver. Dr. Kolb's background includes experience as an accountant, teacher, trainer, and management consultant. She has worked with several Fortune 500 companies, as well as with a host of small organizations.
