Workforce Education Forum

The Workforce Education Forum (WEF) is a refereed publication devoted to disseminating professional reports in workforce, career,and technical education, as well as training and development.

WEF was begun in 1971 as the Occupational Education Forum (OEF) by the Alpha (Penn State) chapter of Iota Lambda Sigma (ILS), the Professional Industrial Education Fraternity. Leadership of OEF/WEF has been, and continues to be, provided by the graduates of industrial, vocational, or workforce education programs at Penn State. The WEF is affiliated with, and receives support from, the Professional Personnel Development Center (PPDC) in the Workforce Education and Development Program at Penn State, as well as the OEF/WEF endowment fund. A historical account of the first 25 years of the OEF/WEF can be found in the Spring 1998 issue of the WEF.

The purpose of the Workforce Education Forum is to provide information that has practical significance for the workforce, career, and technical education professional and serve as a forum in which critical issues from the field may be raised and discussed or debated.  For more information or journal submissions, please contact Dr. Mark Threeton, editor.
