Dr. Yawkey has prior experience with Universities of Maryland-College Park and Wisconsin-Madison. He specializes in developmental practices with young immigrant/migrant and English-as-Second-Language children and parents. He teaches courses and consults nationally and internationally on multi-cultural children/parents and child's play. He co-disseminates Academic Excellence and National Diffusion Network Project P.I.A.G.E.T. to adopting agencies serving young culturally and linguistically diverse children and their parents.
