Department: Advising and Certification Center Kathleen Shannon is a reading specialist who taught reading across elementary grades and all subjects to primary grade students. She teaches elementary reading and language arts methods courses. Each summer she coordinates a reading camp that provides a practicum experience for reading specialist certificate and masters degree students. Her current research interests include multi-genre writing with elementary students and pre-service teachers.
