Dr. Badiali is an associate professor of education in the Educational Leadership program at The Pennsylvania State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Penn State in 1985 where he initially served as an assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. From 1990 to 1992, he coordinated the Office of Staff Development and School Improvement in the College of Education, an outreach arm of the Dean’s Office. In 1992, Dr. Badiali became an associate professor and chair of the Department of Education Leadership at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he served for thirteen years before returning to Penn State in 2003. He was named a Danforth-Johnson Scholar in problem-based learning at Stanford University and a Leadership Associate with the Institute for Educational Inquiry at the University of Washington where he is currently affiliated as an AED Scholar. Dr. Badiali was chosen as the recipient of the 2003 Excellence in Education Award. The Excellence in Education Award is the highest honor bestowed upon an alumnus of the College of Education at Penn State and is sponsored by the College of Education Alumni Society. He has also consulted with numerous colleges and universities throughout the country as well as more than 40 school districts primarily in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
