Administrative Support Assistant Campus: P.S. Berks Department: Penn State Educational Partnership Program Jackie Confalone is the Administrative Support Assistant for PEPP Reading and has been employed at Penn State Berks since August 2007. Jackie holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Elizabethtown College. After being home for many years to raise her two children, Jackie went to work part-time for Governor Mifflin School District in Shillington, PA in the Special Education and Public Information Offices. Jackie assists the PEPP Reading Program Manager in all operational, program, and budgetary phases of the program. This includes supervision of Penn State Berks students hired as PEPP Learning Assistants (PLAs), including organization of interviews, orientations, payroll, and attendance. She is also responsible for all administrative aspects of collecting and organizing the data for approximately 225 PEPP students in the Reading School District. At the beginning of each semester, she assists the Program Manager in making numerous presentations to classrooms and Division meetings on the Penn State Berks campus to recruit students as PLAs. Jackie also coordinates all details for any field trips for PEPP students.
