Dr. David P. Baker is Professor of Education and Sociology at the Pennsylvania State University. His research focuses on the impact of education on individuals and societies, international comparisons of school organization, academic outcomes, and educational policy.  Most recent book is National Differences, Global Similarities: World Culture and the Future of Mass Schooling.
