ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The goal of policy serves:

To provide leadership in family literacy through communication and collaborative action with professional organizations, state and federal agencies, policy makers, family literacy educators, and the general public, resulting in a National Board of Advisors.

To conduct an annual family literacy event to share information on family literacy outcomes with policy makers and other national leaders. The event, held in Washington, DC, is held in cooperation with the National Center for Family Literacy, National Even Start Association, National Coalition for Literacy, National Council of State Directors of Adult Education, and the Institute for the Study of Adult Literacy.

To create policy briefs and related documents useful to family literacy educators and supporters as they advocate for their programs.
