ICIK Fall 2006 Retreat

The Indigenous Knowledge and Development Working Group held a retreat on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the Hartman Center in Milroy, Pennsylvania. The retreat theme was "Developing a Strategy to Involve PSU in Indigenous Knowledge and Development Initiatives at the Village-level in Tanzania." This retreat was sponsored by ICIK, the InterInstitutional Consortium for Indigenous Knowledge with support form the Colleges of Education and Agricultural Sciences.

Our October Indigenous Knowledge and Development Working Group's retreat has launched the East Africa initiative that we envisioned. We are planning to host a video-conference before the end of Spring Semester to allow the PSU delegation to share both their Tanzanian experiences and their thoughts about next steps for our East Africa initiative.

Seminar Announcement co-sponsored by PSU Office of International Programs and ICIK: A Community-Academic Partnership in Tanzania
