Priscilla S. Carman

M.Ed. in Development and Remedial Reading, The Pennsylvania State University

Priscilla has over 20 years experience in the literacy field, including program design and management, teaching, workplace literacy curriculum design and development, staff training and materials development, grant proposal writing, and printed and computer-based instructional materials development. She has conducted several highly rated staff development and conference activities, both statewide and nationally. Since program year 2000, she has coordinated the America Reads Federal Work-Study Program at Penn State, which hires, trains, and places federal work-study students to work as education partners in community programs serving children; she also provide technical assistance to America Reads coordinators at other Penn State campuses.
